Boiled Out of The Shell was selected as the congressional art competition winner in my district in 2017. It depicts two hands (my sisters) pulling apart an egg that cracked while being boiled. Black seeds were inserted into the exposed yoke to resemble eyes. Initially a documentation of the bizarre, it turned into a conversation starter once completed.
