In My Dreams I See Wheat

2022

5 Color Screenprint

11 x 8.5''

Edition Varied

For me, and in some films as well, the golden hour is a time for reflection. The sky turns slowly, yet fast enough to see the sun goodbye in 15 minutes. What do we wish for as the sun sets? I chose to make this a bleed print to enable the traveling of the clouds and implied scale of the wheat field to be more successful, in that they are running off the page, and we are just seeing a window the size of the paper, rather than what fits in the paper. The diagonal repetition of the wheat symbol, direction of the clouds, and the line texture on the clouds, imply a wind that is moving both in the same direction, creating movement.
