I'm excited to share that I am a selected artist in this year's Calavera Collection for the San Antonio Day of the Dead Celebration. Outside of Mexico, San Antonio hosts the largest Día de los Muertos celebration in the world. San Antonio's unique, vibrant, and even moving Día de los Muertos experiences blend timeless traditions with modern festivities.
"Step into the ‘Calavera Collection’ at La Villita Historic Arts Village this October! 🌺✨ Featuring over 40 giant skulls intricately hand-painted by San Antonio artists, this free exhibit will be on display during the Day of the Dead festival in Maverick Plaza, along the River Walk, and at Chef Johnny Hernandez’s restaurants. Curated by renowned artist Rubio, this vibrant collection celebrates the beauty of the sugar skull and our rich cultural heritage.
